Week 15

I missed posting last week, but couldn't miss this week. We have so many things to tell you about. As most of you know we have had a few germs running about that several of us had the misfortune to catch. I was out two days and I have been playing catch-up since then. We also found out today that we have one student out with the flu. I am encouraging frequent hand washing. We will do our best to all stay well. Today we started an adventure around the globe to study different holidays and their countries of origin. Students crafted a suitcase, received a passport and a plane ticket and took off to learn about different holidays. Students will learn about Diwali, Hanukkah, Posada, and The legend of Santa Claus. Each Kindergarten teacher is teaching about one of the holidays and students will go to a different class each morning to learn about these celebrations.
Saturday, our PTO is sponsoring a DCE day at Barnes & Nobles. Some of our kindergartners will sing songs at 12:15. Mrs. Chiang & I will be wrapping gifts from 12:30-1:00.  So come & shop.
Monday from 4-6, many of the DCE Teachers will be caroling in the surrounding Neighborhoods. I hope to see some K1 and K4 faces there. A schedule was sent home, but if you missed it just let me know & I can send one home Monday.
Thursday is wear your PJ's day, and our Holiday Party will be in the afternoon.
Friday is an early release day. Students we be out at 12:30.
