Wonderful Week

This week was special thanks to all the wonderful students and parents in K1 & K4. On Wednesday, I was greeted in the morning with handfuls or wonderful birthday cards, then we had a field trip to the park. At the park,I was surprised at lunch when I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers, gift cards to several stores and restaurants, and a Vera Bradly Tote. ThankYou!ThankYou!ThankYou! One child guessed that I was 29 and I stopped the guessing after that. Then one bright soul asked what year I was born. (1962) You do the math. These kids do keep me feeling younger. (most days)
It was a fun day to have a birthday.
We have learned a lot about eggs & oviparous animals the past weeks, and next week we will begin learning about frogs & ponds. The classes are doing great writing, and I was reminded about how advanced our writing skills are after visiting another kindergarten DL class last week. I am starting on end of the year assessments. I know it is early, but the district wants to get scores in time to plan for those needing summer school.
Keep working on RAZ-Kids. It is making a difference with the kids who are reading the books and passing the quizzes. The quizzes are very important because they test comprehension.
In math we will continue working with Addition and Subtraction, writing equations, and even a little Algebra with balanced equations.
I hope those who celebrated Passover had a wonderful holiday this past week, and Happy Easter to those celebrating this weekend.
Have a great weekend!
