Time Flies

It is hard to believe January is almost gone and we are more than half way through the school year. We have some exciting events coming up. Friday is the 100th Day of School. We will have fun with 100 on Friday. This week we will start our fairy tale unit. We will read many classic fairy tales and learn what makes a story a fairy tale. We will continue our work with addition & subtraction. We will also start our investigation of wood & paper.
Friday, February 10 will be our Fairy Tale Ball. Students will come to school dressed as their favorite character from a fairy tale. We will start the day with some fun fairy tale crafts, then at 9:30 a parade followed by a song by the kindergartners for parents & guests. Then we will have a dance and luncheon.
We will need several parent volunteers to help that morning. This will be our main celebration for February. On Feb.14th, Valentines Day, students will exchange cards if they choose to participate.
On a personal note, I am sending out a big thank you.  I am inspired by the support from K1 & K2 in my effort to raise money for American Cancer Society Coppell Relay for Life.
