Week 1- Back to School

This week was the 1st week back with students, and I have to say it went very smoothly. The 1st week of 3rd grade is so much easier than the 1st week in Kindergarten. When I gave directions most followed them quickly. They all knew how to read & write their names, and a lot more. Best of all, no kids cried because they missed their mother.
Seriously, I enjoy 3rd graders. They still have great enthusiasm, most still love hugs, and they are still sponges for soaking up information. I have two great classes. This week I had each 2 1/2 days, and next week we will begin the every other week rotation between English & Spanish.
Most of this week was spent getting to know each other and establishing routines. Next week, we will begin the academics. If you are new to my blog, you will want to watch the side bars for upcoming events. Also you can sign up for email alerts when I post. I love to read your comments if you have any feedback.

The adventure has begun!

  1. This is so wonderful to hear, the story matches right along with my daughter Sky'Lynn. She called me at work and she screamed in my ear "Mommy I love school so much!" I asked her was it a special day or did she do something special, because honestly what child yells they love school right? Lol but her response was "Mommy no we didn't do anything special, I just love it cause 3rd grade is so awesome!" I smiled because I knew then that she had a wonderful teacher and great friends! I can't wait to read and follow your blogs! Feels like I'm growing and learning right along with her! Thank you for taking your time out to helping me raise my daughter!!!
