Eight Amazing Weeks

Short weeks often seem to go on forever, but this past week went by in a flash. We ended the week with a great treat. Chris Milton (Tia's dad) was our Friday reader and he brought his guitar along. He sang a pirate song and read some pirate books. It was great fun.
We are all looking forward to the field trip on Tuesday. The last time we were at this orchard, it was a great experience. We will start the day with a bus ride to Keller. Many students are very excited about this 1st time on a school bus. Then we will spend time at the orchard learning about apples, bees, composting & other farm experiences. We will then go to a park for lunch and a little play time before heading back to school.
Students need to wear comfortable clothes & shoes. If you bought the green DCE shirt, they should wear it. That really helps us keep everyone together.
Students need to bring a sack lunch (no lunch boxes please) and drink, or they can purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, Oct. 28th 5-7. It will be Bonkers night for DCE Kindergarten and Pre-K. Siblings are invited also. I will be there the 1st hour. Hope to see many of you there.
I was excited to see that the DL parent group has an outing planned Sunday at the duck pond. I will try to drop by.
I am watching the Ranger Game, and need to get back to the action.
Have a great weekend.
Tammy
