We have now been in school for seven weeks, and with routines in place, we are really starting to get things done. This past week we talked about school & community helpers. We walked around the school to see where our school helpers did there jobs. Below I have posted pictures of many of our school helpers. Sit down with your child and see how many you know. Your child may forget names, but they should know what job they do. As a part of this unit, we also had a visit from Coppell Firefighter Jeremy Broom. (Mrs. Broom is one of our nurses.) He talked to all 4 classes about his job and ways they can help.
He tried to recruit a few kinder students to join the squad. Photos below.
We are continuing to work with counting and attributes in math. Science is all about trees and plants.
Tuesday is Picture Day. A paper about ordering pictures was sent home Wed. I found some on the ground, so if you need one, I have extras.
I enjoyed having time to sit and talk with each of you. I am really enjoying this year.
Happy Long Weekend,
Tammy
