Week 13 Christmas Caroling at B&N

Thank you to everyone who came out for Christmas caroling at B&N. The kids did a fabulous job. If someone made a video, I would love to post it for everyone to see.

This past week, we came back from our break and got right back to work. We started doing the research for our cultural presentations and it is both fun and challenging. This coming week we will be putting our presentations together and then finally the week of the 10th, we will share our presentations.
In math we are still working on multiplication. Please have your child work on learning their facts at home. We do practice some at school, but most of our math time at school is working on the problem solving of multiplication, not memorizing facts. We will be experimenting with, comparing and contrasting simple machines in science. We will be defining and discussing literary elements in reading.

Please note that the date of our multicultural feast has changed. A detailed note will come home early this week.

DCE is having a Parent's Night Out. Please see details below.

WHAT: Parent’s Night Out

 

WHEN: Friday, December 14^th

 

TIME: 5:30 – 9:00 PM

 

COST: $25 for one student, $40 for two, $60 for three

 

We will have Bounce Houses, Pizza, and fun activities for the kids –

 

It’s a great opportunity for parents to go Christmas shopping, or dinner & a movie with their spouse, etc.

 

PURPOSE: The money raised will be used to begin purchasing furniture for our Communications Room for kids.
