Week 14 Celebrating Culture

I am looking forward to this week. The students will be sharing their presentations on the cultures they have studied and hopefully raise our awareness and appreciation of this wonderful world we live in.
We will have a chance Thursday to sample foods from many different cultures at our Multi-Cultural Food Festival. I hope many parents will also attend.  We will be reviewing math skills that we have learned, and practice retelling stories we read. In science we will continue to talk about force and motion along with forms of energy.

We had fun on Friday with a children's author and illustrator, Mike Artell.

Have you finished Christmas shopping? Need a date night? Just want some quiet time at home? Then let the teachers and principals of DCE watch your kids Friday evening. Many fun activities are planned.
I will be there and hope some of the 3D and 3E kids will be there too!

The cost is $25 a student, discounts for 2nd & 3rd child.

Time: 5:30 – 9:00 –

We will send a form home on Monday that we’ll need returned by Wednesday to help us have an idea of how many kids to expect.

This event is to raise money for some furniture in the student communication room. A design team of students led by Mr. Mac and Mrs. Hux are making some great plans for this student area.

Hope to see many of you Thursday for the festival, and Friday night.

One of my favorite events is coming up a week from Monday, DCE Staff Christmas Caroling. We will travel to different neighborhoods in DCE and sing for you. I hope you can find your way to one of the spots. I will send out details this week.
