It was so much fun today to see all the kids so excited about Grandparents Day. We had a great turnout. The students whose grandparent's couldn't attend, were able to enjoy spending time with friend's grandparents. I always worry about the kids whose grandparents are unable to come, but when the day arrives the grandparents who are here are happy to reach out and "foster" one more grandchild for the day. Some of the grandparents are starting to look my age & younger. How did that happen?? :-)
The students were ask to take the grandparents around the school and used itouches and QR codes to interview the grandparents. I was so wrapped up in the activity that I forgot to take pictures. If you have pictures to share, send them to ma and I will post a few.
